PriceSniffer — Terms of Service & End-User License Agreement (EULA)

1. Acceptance

These Terms are an agreement between you and Yunus Emre Celik ("PriceSniffer", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the PriceSniffer iOS app, website, or backend (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You confirm you have the legal capacity to enter this agreement (or have guardian permission where your local law requires it).

2. What the Service does

PriceSniffer lets you monitor the price and stock of individual e-commerce products you choose by URL, set a target price or percentage-drop trigger, and receive push notifications when a trigger fires. We do not sell products, show third-party advertisements, or complete purchases for you. Product data is retrieved from publicly accessible product pages via our extraction provider.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google; there is no separate PriceSniffer password to create. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your Apple ID or Google account secure, and are responsible for all activity under your account. One account per person. Notify us at info@pricesniffer.net of any unauthorized use.

4. Permitted use — personal and non-commercial

The Service is for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the price data, price history, or extracted product data for commercial analytics, benchmarking, business intelligence, or resale. You may track only products at URLs you have the lawful right to access.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • use bots, scripts, or automated methods to overload, abuse, or circumvent the Service or its usage limits;
  • interfere with, probe, or crawl our servers or app in ways not intended by the Service;
  • track URLs you have no legal right to access, or that require login/authentication to view the price (login-walled/cart-only prices are out of scope);
  • submit URLs pointing to illegal, pornographic, harmful, or otherwise objectionable content (determined at our reasonable discretion);
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the app's design, code, or functionality except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
  • create multiple or additional accounts to evade a limit, suspension, or ban.

6. Product URLs and tracking

  • Valid URLs. PriceSniffer tracks individual product pages. URLs pointing to listings, category, search-result, or unrelated pages may be rejected at submission.
  • Unreachable products. If a tracked page is removed or changed by the retailer, we may flag it as unresolved/unreachable. We are not responsible for retailer changes.
  • Deduplication. Where multiple users track the same product, we may check it once and share the result; price history is stored per product.
  • Tracking on/off & limits. Your plan sets how many products you can track, the check interval, and how many products (if any) may use faster "fast slot" checks. Disabled products keep their last data and stop consuming check budget. Limits and pricing are configured server-side and may change; we will give notice of material changes.

7. Price and stock accuracy — important limitations

Product data comes from third-party websites and is provided on a best-effort, "as-is" basis. You acknowledge:

  • We do not guarantee that any price, currency, or availability is accurate, complete, current, or lawful. Data may be delayed or wrong due to retailer changes beyond our control.
  • Currency: we track the retailer's displayed native currency. There is no FX conversion; a price may be shown in a different currency than yours.
  • Login / loyalty prices: prices requiring a logged-in account, membership, or loyalty enrollment cannot be tracked.
  • Stock: availability is tracked only where the retailer exposes it. Unknown availability is treated as "unknown" and will not trigger a false restock alert.
  • Alert timing: notifications are delivered on your plan's check interval and may arrive with a short delay after a change. We do not guarantee delivery time or that every change is captured.

Do not rely solely on PriceSniffer for purchasing decisions. Always confirm the price and availability on the retailer's site before buying.

8. Third-party retailers and intellectual property

The Service monitors third-party retailer pages at your request. We do not own, endorse, or control those retailers, their content, pricing, trademarks, or availability, and are not responsible for them. Product names, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners; they are displayed to help you identify the item you chose to track. When you leave the app to visit a retailer, that site's own terms and privacy policies apply.

9. Subscriptions and billing

The app is free to download and use. Optional paid plans (Basic, Pro) unlock higher tracking limits and faster checks. Current plans, features, and subscription pricing are displayed in the app and in the App Store in your local currency at the time of purchase. Plan limits and pricing are configured server-side and may change; we will give notice of material changes.

Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase; we never receive or store your card details. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price of the selected plan. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings (App Store) after purchase — turning off auto-renew stops the next renewal; the current period continues until it ends. Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies — we cannot issue them directly; request refunds via Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). If we change subscription pricing, we notify you in advance; where Apple requires, an active subscriber must consent to a price increase or the subscription will not auto-renew. Continued paid use after an effective change constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

On cancellation, expiry, or payment failure, your account reverts to the Free plan. Products exceeding the Free limit are deactivated (tracking stops), not deleted — their data is retained and you can reactivate them within your current plan limits.

10. Our intellectual property

The PriceSniffer app, backend, brand, and design are owned by Yunus Emre Celik. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose under these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law or by a retailer's valid request affecting a target site. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app; deletion is handled per the Privacy Policy. Sections that by nature should survive termination (e.g. 4, 7, 8, 10, 12–15) survive.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all data are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy or availability of data. We do not warrant the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. This does not exclude warranties that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer law applicable to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost savings, missed discounts or restocks, or purchasing decisions made in reliance on the Service. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or mandatory consumer rights). Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or the minimum permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your tracking of URLs you had no right to access.

15. Changes; governing law; disputes

We may modify the Service or these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use means acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and disputes are subject to the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections and the right to bring claims under the law of your country of residence (including EU consumer law and Turkish consumer law where applicable).

Schedule A — Apple App Store required EULA terms

This app is licensed, not sold, to you. If you do not adopt Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the following minimum terms apply and control over any conflicting term above for App Store downloads:

  1. Acknowledgement. This agreement is between you and Yunus Emre Celik only, not Apple. Yunus Emre Celik, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Scope of license. The license is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded device you own or control, per the App Store Usage Rules.
  3. Maintenance and support. Yunus Emre Celik is solely responsible for support and maintenance; Apple has no obligation to provide it.
  4. Warranty. Yunus Emre Celik is responsible for any product warranties, express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  5. Product claims. Yunus Emre Celik, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app (product liability, legal/regulatory non-compliance, consumer-protection, and IP claims).
  6. Intellectual property. In the event of a third-party claim that the app infringes IP rights, Yunus Emre Celik, not Apple, is responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge.
  7. Legal compliance. You represent you are not located in a U.S.-embargoed country or on a U.S. prohibited-parties list.
  8. Developer contact. Questions/complaints about the app: info@pricesniffer.net.
  9. Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app.
  10. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

Governing language

These Terms are written in English and may be made available in other languages for your convenience. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and any translated version of this document, the English version shall prevail.
